Iluvatar, it would take you 13824 increments to go from www.decorumcomicr.com till here, if you don't count the dot... |

O_o Interesting selection. *Refuses to reveal why this place is shockificating* |
user 2 posts 2007-10-16 01:47:17 |
Also found this site through xkcd/wetriffs. Really great comic (where else can I see Marine Biology Case Study comics?!) I'm a 17 year old high school senior who has run Conway's Game of Life an unhealthy number of times. |

*wonders how many of the 17 year-olds are going to suddenly become 18 or 19 or 70 on Darcey's birthday* =X |
user 1 posts 2007-10-16 23:32:28 |
Hey. I'm a dude who found this through the thing. Nice to meet you all. |
user 1 posts 2007-10-17 06:06:59 |
I just found this through the time traveler convention site. This is a great comic and I cant wait for more. |
user 2 posts 2007-10-19 03:50:55 |
Hi. Wetriffs. Awesome and funny. Love the FBD comic, covered it in lecture that day. Fun coincidence. 18/M/Biomedical Engineering major at UT. Pale. Bye! |

Harmen, not if you only iterate through the original six generic top-level domains (com, edu, net, etc). |

Hi! Basic info: British, Software engineer, avid XKCD reader. Ended up over here 'cos I noticed that Darcey hadn't been posting in the XKCD comic threads forum much lately. OK, so I saw the picture on wetriffs.com and thought, hey, I remember her... |
user 3 posts 2007-10-20 03:55:21 |
Yello! I just smelled someone baking a math-and-wittiness pie, and followed the smell here. |
user 2 posts 2007-10-21 01:42:20 |
I like latinate plurals, regular expressions, and registering for websites before the four letter namespace is full. |

Hey all. I found this comic through...*drum roll* wet riffs! As a 17 year old, though, I don't have to worry about being labeled a sex offender (I hope). Anyway, the main reason I love this comic is because it focuses on a lot on bio, chem, physics, and comical depictions of sex, as opposed to xkcd, which focuses on life, existence, romance, and comp sci. And if anyone wants basic Linux advice, feel free to ask. I may run Ubuntu, but I'm pretty skilled at the command line and basic shell administration and shell scripting. I also just realized that "suggestions" is not "comic suggestions", so I'll have to keep bugging Darcey by e-mail. See ya! |
administrator 467 posts 2007-10-22 01:55:55 |
Er... I actually saw your email, marked it as unread in order not to forget to respond to it, and then still forgot to respond to it. Along with like ten other emails. =X I am totally going to do that tomorrow. |
user 13 posts 2007-10-22 22:07:46 |
No problem. I understand completely. I mean, it's not like I've been obsessively checking my Gmail account twice a day for the last two weeks or anything like that. ;) |

Hello, I'm Ryan. Found this place through wetriffs (of course). I'm 22 and I live in Kansas. I'm an engineery-type guy and I like Macs (but I don't beat people over the head about it). |
user 641 posts 2007-10-24 06:33:34 |
Hi Darcey and everyone else. You can probably guess how I found this place. (same way as most other people :) ) Although wetriffs is not the only reason I'm here. Some stuff on the xkcd forums also contributed. I'm 17, I live in Australia, I like maths, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, philosophy and various other things, and I run Slackware. |
user 2 posts 2007-10-24 23:49:42 |
Ye gods. At 26, am I truly the oldest one running around this place? Well, perhaps it'll be nice to know that even through the eyes of us gray-haired elderly ones, this comic still rocks. |
user 18 posts 2007-10-25 00:02:37 |
"At 26, am I truly the oldest one running around this place?" 28, and thanks so much for rubbing it in. ;-) Dang whippersnappers. Back in my day we wrote comics by rubbing dye onto pulped wood. We didn't need your fancy electrons and such. |
user 347 posts 2007-10-25 02:55:58 |

Pulped wood? What's this new-fangled nonsense? Real comics are painted in charcoal and ochre on cave walls! |
user 347 posts 2007-10-25 13:20:01 |
yeah, cmon darc - give us some cave drawings! |
user 326 posts 2007-10-25 13:52:42 |
I found Darcey *before* wetriffs (via xkcd fora). I just didn't sign up until I saw rumors of a 'power plant' t-shirt. Also, I make comics (comic.woktiny.net) that most people don't get (or read). |
user 326 posts 2007-10-25 13:54:32 |
as an after thought, wow, that's a lot of people from wetriffs... |
administrator 467 posts 2007-10-25 21:49:56 |
!! Darcey.<3(woktinyComic); |
administrator 467 posts 2007-10-25 21:50:18 |
Er... those were honest exclamation points, but reading them as a double negative works ok too. |
user 7 posts 2007-10-26 03:51:32 |
Like most, I came through wetriffs. And man am I happy about it, this comic is amazing! I don't really read any webcomics religiously besides XKCD, but this has made the list. I had a somewhat similar thought to comic #62 and almost died laughing when I saw it. First-year electrical engineering, web designer, Linux when I can (though triple head + xorg = lots of nano and frustration), know some Latin, Canadian, and, like you Darcey, child of "interesting" parents. :) |
user 326 posts 2007-10-26 14:12:10 |
Some day I will make a member function called <3() then, there will be peace. Also, thanks. :) |

Hi! I'm a cs, music, linguistics, gamer and sci-fi/fantasy geek, 23, graduating soon from Harvey Mudd college. I *am* a huge fan of xkcd (as is pretty much all of Mudd), but didn't find this place through that one. Rather, my best friend from high school found it (perhaps through xkcd, I didn't ask) and sent it to me. We send each other new web comics we've found, all the time (the last discovery was mine, namely Home on the Strange). I will admit, this is definitely the most xkcd-like comic I've seen since xkcd itself. And I'll say this, as well: comic #72 is one of my favorite things on the internet right now. Thus, even if Darcey blatantly stole a couple of her jokes from elsewhere (I've been using the 2B||!2B joke since forever ago, and have been using "The Holocaust" as the answer to the old joke about finding a worm in your apple, for almost as long), I'm willing to forgive her that because most of them are much more novel. Also, yay, A_MILLION! |

Oh, one other thing. No rss feed? I want an rss feed! |

Lemme see. Timothy Kew. Arrived here through someone linking you in their signature on NationStates, and commenting that it was nearly as cool as XKCD. Read the archives, and registered. As for me, I'm 17, asexual guy, UK. I run my own website, http://b.armory.com/~xyzzy , post actively on NationStates and the XKCD fora, and study for A levels (Math, Further Math, Pysics, Goverment and Politics). In my spare time, I code in lisp/scheme, dabble in mathematics (mostly number theory), LaTeX, and hang out in various IRC channels. |

Incidentally those two comics were not my jokes. The one with my dad is really my dad's joke, and the other is from a real conversation with Leif and JustinZ. And 'blatantly stole' is a bit strong of a phrase. =P Even if some of my comic's jokes have been used elsewhere, the repetition was certainly not deliberate on my part. |

how else do you end up w/ memes? |
user 4 posts 2007-10-29 17:14:27 |
A RL friend-->XKCD-->wetriffs.com. Clearly, that pic was the second smartest thing you've ever done...because the most smartest was your comic! (Since I don't know you in RL, I apologize if you've ever done something even more clever than this comic, such as...well, I can't think of anything!) I'm 25, male, married, A.A. in Automotive Service and B.A. in English, and my mom is nowhere near as 1337 as yours. But she makes up for it with her ability to hear every fart made by someone within shouting distance, even that really quiet one you tried to pass in church, and then giggling about it uncontrollably for the next 30 minutes. Unless Dad did it. Then it's a scolding. |

Hey guys! I'm Andrew. As a big fan of Venn diagram jokes, I was very pleased to stumble upon Venn Detta. And then I read all of the other ones. |
user 241 posts 2007-10-31 04:16:15 |
I found this place through Wetriffs too. Though I'd really love to know if anybody arrived here through StumbleUpon. I'm a 21 year old Chemical Engineer and Mathematics major. So I may not be the oldest, but I'm liable to loose my mind as if I were anyway. It's a good thing the one major provides alcohol for the other major. Now I have XKCD to read on MWF and Decorum to read on TRSat. So the only day I'm not graced with amazing comics is Sunday. |
user 13 posts 2007-11-01 04:25:15 |
Ah, chemical engineering. Very cool. I'm only in high school, of course, but I'm looking into bio and chem majors. Scone, what's the difference between chem and chem e, and how do you like it? |
user 241 posts 2007-11-01 06:58:16 |
ChE means I design the process that produce the chemicals used for everything instead of researching what chemicals are useful. This year, I'm learning about distillation columns and stills, that's my favorite class. I don't actually have to take as many chemistry courses as it'd seem like because of the major. And it's amazing; I don't ever have to take physics classes. And it's hard to pass up the opportunity to get my Zen on every time I do work related to my major. |
user 7 posts 2007-11-01 21:16:14 |
Hello... I also found this through wetriffs... Favorite comic was hard to pick, but either Ultomato or just about anything with Darcey's dad. |
user 87 posts 2007-11-03 06:10:43 |
just about anything with Darcey's dad. ARE you Darcey's dad? If so, what a way to find out about the comic. |
user 7 posts 2007-11-03 10:54:16 |
I also came here through wetriffs... excitement ^.^ Anyway, I'm a 17 year old (at least for the next month and a half) German, back in Germany after spending the last year in Wisonsin. I do want to go back, but I also want to go to college and not be broke to no end afterwards, so I guess it'll have to wait... I'm a sort of all-around geek, watching weird anime, playing video games and tinkering with computers a lot – although most of that is on the user level... I know how to do and fix mediocrely advanced stuff in Windows and Mac OS X and veery simple stuff on Linux. I do realize that my nick, using a Mac and owning a PS3 all make me an easy target. But I know Latin and did sabre fencing for a while, so CAVETE GLADIUM DICTUMQUE PUERI GERMANI (; Oh, and as you just saw, I like doing emoticons the other way around because I'm left-handed q-; |
user 7 posts 2007-11-03 16:34:37 |
Argh, sorry for the double-post, but I must mention that I'm hugely into any kind of rhythm-based game (DDR, Samba de Amigo, Guitar Hero, Space Channel 5, Rez, doesn't matter ^^) |
user 437 posts 2007-11-04 02:43:58 |
Hello all, I was really unoriginal and arrived via wetriffs as well. Erm, I'm a 19 year old Scottish Physics student. I'll leave the rest out to limit the obvious stalking that will eventually occur once you all realise how awesome I am... Did I mention that I'm not at all big headed and modest in every way? |
user 456 posts 2007-11-04 02:56:16 |
Ah, the ever-mysterious field of Scottish Physics. :D |
user 437 posts 2007-11-04 03:31:11 |
Don't mock it. We have to describe oddities like how whiskey can mysteriously evaporate when people are left alone next to a bottle of it! |
