Hey, it's even bigger than I thought it was, I just thought it had to do with golf. |

RL - Alec. Jersey. Psych Major at Rowan U. Assoc. in Music Education. Heard about this place from XKCD, this seems like the yin to its yang. I'll read this constantly now. |

I also found the comic through a Nationstates signature. I'm 16, live in Texas, and am planning on majoring in Comp Sci in a few years. I'm also an avid video gamer, debater, and procrastinator. |
user 1 posts 2007-11-08 06:16:40 |
My name is Brian and I am known around my place of residence as the Spacepope. Aahhhh spacepope. I *also* found this comic through wetriffs and think it is one of the most awesome things evar. Also, good to know I'm not the only one who says that. I need sleep now or my brain will wither. [sJ]Spacepope out. |
user 10 posts 2007-11-08 14:25:50 |
so, Spacepope... Do you be human or lizard? |
user 1 posts 2007-11-08 14:53:15 |
a friend showed my your Emo comic, I fell off my chair laughing... Doesn't sound so bad except I was at work at the time where I am not supposed to be looking at webcomics... |

I am an 18 year old male in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I enjoy walks in the woods, being witty and victorian era softcore pornography. One of those was a joke. A friend sent me here, I was hooked by the shared pain of that consarned marine biology case study. Hate. Soooo much. |

Greetings to you all. My name is Iohannes Bevin Nathaniel van Liempt II, and I found this webcomic through an extension of xkcd. I am 24 years old, and I hold a doctorate in the noble discipline of mathematics. Those active in the field will surely know my thesis, "On reconstructions of inconsistent theorems in a triune truth value system" which has major applications to our esteemed incompleteness theorems. I'm just here to see the world from a different view, Bevin |
user 456 posts 2007-11-10 15:44:08 |
I found this webcomic through an extension of xkcd. So, wetriffs, then? Also, good job on the math doctorate, as I know I wouldn't be able to stand it. |
user 4 posts 2007-11-10 18:04:42 |
Yep Wetriffs and I proud of it. Just started reading this comic about two weeks ago and think it is great. I really like smart webcomics. |
user 14 posts 2007-11-12 18:12:05 |
yet another wetriffs link. genius, that was. i'm Dan, 21, British, started a degree in theoretical astrophysics then decided it was too much like hard work and i could get all the physics i need from assorted webcomics. now taking politics instead and still managing to avoid working by being on here. love the comic :) |

Toad here, 24, California. For the record, Toad is an actual RL nickname (even my mother calls me Toad sometimes), not a construction for the Web. I found Decorum via a link IMed to me (#82), and signed on the forums because I couldn't keep myself from talking about Linux. Darcey, great comic! I read through the archives today and it was a very enjoyable read. Keep up the good work. :) |
user 347 posts 2007-11-15 04:02:03 |
I once knew a guy we called "The Reverend Toad". But he was older than 24, i think. |
user 26 posts 2007-11-15 04:44:28 |
My name's Chris, that's what I go by, and that's what my friends call me, so it works out. I'm 17 and from Texas, which is for the most part uninteresting. I enjoy reading as many awesome comics as I can and I am so glad to have found Decorum because I am taking Major's Biology and get a kick out of all these jokes that I get. I found Decorum first linked to some other site that I can't remember, but I only read a few. Then I found it again at Wetriffs and decided to check it out. I write novels, and comic strips, however the comics are bad and embarrassing. |
user 70 posts 2007-11-17 17:10:14 |
So I'm new. Does it make me a horrible person if I'm glad that these boards are so new I'm not really alone in that? Either way, my name's Eric, I'm 16 and from Los Angeles, which is for the most part boring. I'm a freshman at a local university, which is equal parts stressful, incredibly interesting, and a conversation starter with idiots ("d00d ur 16 and in colej? hax!"). Okay, so they say it out loud, but I often have the feeling they type in cyberspeak when people are that stupid, and I simply have to relay it that way. I like Decorum. Decorum is good. You ought to be shocked that someone joining this site holds that opinion. I definitely did not find Decorum from the link on Wetriffs. The future participle comic kicks nine kinds of ass. Hmm, about me. I try to write fiction, I attempt to write and perform stand-up, and I fail at not making an ass of myself when I write introductions for fora. I unicycle tolerably, flirt terribly (in the 'a whole dang ton' meaning of 'terrible', not the 'bad at it' sense), and can be rather witty at times. I have no clue if these fora support editing, but if they do, I shall add more data to this post as I think of it. |
user 158 posts 2007-11-17 23:51:28 |
I feel your pain. I went to university at fifteen. You have no clue how many times people bring it up. "You must be a genius." etc. . . Hang in there. There's nothing like getting a doctorate at the tender age of 22. |
user 14 posts 2007-11-18 15:18:49 |
I guess it's different in the US, but here in England it's almost impossible to enjoy university unless you're 18 when you start, it's amazing how much of my university experience so far has revolved around alcohol. |
user 50 posts 2007-11-18 19:28:03 |
Might as well start here before posting anything that'd actually be read. Khan's my name (last, don't like my first), though I've been going by Scriptor on anything on the web for three years (I was thinking of a guy writing scrolls and such). I guess I found this place the common way nowadays, but I'm honestly looking for good comics and such to visit. Otherwise my daily tour of the Internetz involves going to a few sites, then sitting there, with the knowledge and creative power of the world on my fingertips, thinking I'm bored. For more about me, I'm 17, and still will be for a while. I live in Hershey, PA, where the tourists' gold shines every summer. Like Oblivious Bear I like writing fiction, whenever I get some inspiration anyway. More than that, I like programming. My skillset only consists of PHP, a moderate amount of Javascript and Ruby, and some rusting Java. I still go to high school, it's getting old, but at lest it's my last year. Well, the comics I've seen so far have been pretty amazing, so I'll definitely stick around! It's even giving me coding project ideas already. |
user 456 posts 2007-11-18 19:30:31 |
KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! Who saw that coming? |
user 50 posts 2007-11-18 19:38:45 |
Not here, oh ye gods not here too! |
user 456 posts 2007-11-18 19:56:18 |
Sorry, couldn't resist. Won't let it happen again. |
user 167 posts 2007-11-19 01:25:06 |
Hey man, we all know you want at least one of those, otherwise you wouldn't mention it. However, since I'm a jackass, I'll do it again. KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! In high-school I knew a guy with the last name Khan. Also, his and his brother's first names rhymed. It was pretty awesome. |
user 70 posts 2007-11-19 09:36:10 |
I need to get in on this. KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! Anyway...any kids I have will have the middle name Khan, unless I remember to get my name changed before that time comes, in which case it won't matter. |
user 5 posts 2007-11-19 20:25:52 |
but I must mention that I'm hugely into any kind of rhythm-based game You should play FFR - Flash Flash Revolution www.flashflashrevolution (^_^)=b Fixed. =) -Darcey |

I need to get in on this. Aw, but 'Noonien' is so much funner to say. =( I could totally giving at least one of my children the middle name 'Tiberius'. |
user 456 posts 2007-11-20 00:20:02 |
Yes, I agree on both counts. |
user 12 posts 2007-11-20 02:39:29 |
Hello. I'm Watson "Tree Stump" Ladd. I'm 16 and live in Ridgewood NJ. I'm a BCA student. I found out about this through XKCD. Hello everyone! |
administrator 467 posts 2007-11-20 02:46:17 |
o.O You live fairly close to me. |
user 70 posts 2007-11-20 03:00:38 |
Maybe he's another of your many stalkers, Darcey. You never know. |
administrator 879 posts 2007-11-20 03:03:10 |
I also found the comic through a Nationstates signature. I'm 16, live in Texas, and am planning on majoring in Comp Sci in a few years. I'm also an avid video gamer, debater, and procrastinator. Together with Phallosopher, that makes THREE people I have lured here! THREE! (Sorry about the nearly, though. I must have written that several months ago. Now I know it is certainly at least as cool, and this shall be amended forthwith.) |
user 1 posts 2007-11-20 03:11:30 |
So I'm hear via WetRiffs, via XKCD. Is there an RSS feed for Decorum? |
administrator 879 posts 2007-11-20 03:22:44 |
If you use a decent browser, it should have automatically discovered it already =) http://www.decorumcomics.com/rss.php |
user 12 posts 2007-11-20 22:58:14 |
No, I'm not one of Darcey's stalkers. That's the other 24,935 people in Ridgewood. |
administrator 84 posts 2007-11-21 03:06:50 |
Ridgewood, huh? |
user 70 posts 2007-11-21 07:24:23 |
I'll add that to my file, Tiberius. |
administrator 467 posts 2007-11-25 18:35:43 |
o.O So we drove past Ridgewood in the car the other day on the way somewhere and I was all like 'HOMG a forum member lives there!' |
user 1 posts 2007-11-26 12:00:18 |
Hey there, my names Ben. 20 years, male from NH. Unfortunately, I've never heard of any of this wetriffs you're all talking about, though I'm sure I'll be checking it out. I was just looking through, trying to find a little bit of material to build an article topic on and I figured I had to join in support of a localized artist. also, I've been getting hooked on webcomics for a few months now, and this one's definitely got its special quirks. Like what I've seen so far, and I can't wait to get through the entire collection. |

Hi. I'm a Computer Science major at WWU <http://www.wwu.edu>. I should be done soon, and have a degree that suggests I might be able to write people programs if they want to pay me. So, that'll be fun. |
user 37 posts 2007-11-27 15:55:56 |
im philth a 27-year-old married father. a pedantic maths graduate. an office-tedium enduring part-time muso and some-time rockstar wannabe. an xkcd reading occasional link follower. a committed under-achiever. |
user 3 posts 2007-11-28 10:13:31 |
Hi! I'm the first guy to be both sixteen and Australian! I only mention this because I wanted to be the first to be either :( silly people with their ages and homes... I'm in year 12, first term because we have a crazy system and I heart science-ing - I do all of them. I found this through a friend, and read all of the comics straight, and laughed so very much. I also saw some of the jokes before (from a friend who also said "Dictionary: The Musical. A Play on Words), but the rest of the comics more than make up for it. I think I have said everything. Even a witty pun. |
user 1 posts 2007-11-28 19:42:56 |
18 yr old Mech Eng student. I came through Wetriffs then read the entire archive. good stuff. Also, your dad sounds like a bamf. |
user 1 posts 2007-11-29 07:18:21 |
Guten Tag Darcey, Hi Fora, I found this site via xkcd and then some times later again via wetriffs. I'm an M.Sc-candidate for computer science from germany. Like your comics. Keep on going. (You had already a Latin greeting, so I gave you a German one. You could start collect them and put them in a vitrine or something similar.) |
user 112 posts 2007-12-01 06:26:58 |
'sup, fora. Despite my belief that atoms are best personified with the most electronegative ones being female, my firm commitment to linguistic descriptivism and dislike of linguistic prescriptivism, my love of alt/title/mouseover text, and my slight shame at finding this site through wetriffs, I really like Decorum. I think it's been especially on point since the 100th comic. Me, I'm 22. I have a B.A. in Biology and Philosophy and I really want an Master of Forestry so I can put B.A.M.F. after my name. Unfortunately I'm putting that off until I finish getting my M.D. Hopefully I can tack that on at the end so it doesn't ruin the acronym. |

Hideho peoples, the names Ronan (aka Ronano cos having nano in your name is just way cooler.....and 10 to the power of -9 smaller....<cringe>). Im from good old Northern Ireland (hey to all you crazy americans across the pond keep up the global warming and wotnot cos its getting warmer here lol) Im currently in upper sixth and studying for my A'levels (the grade-depended university choice things :s) with geography maths and physics. woo decorum comics! |
user 4 posts 2007-12-03 21:44:08 |
Hey, I'm Joel. Found the site through wetriffs... not unlike most of you here it seems hah. Mechanical Engineering major at University of MD. yay Decorum! |
user 111 posts 2007-12-05 11:30:32 |
Hola, como estas? I hadn't seen a Spanish greeting yet. :) I just thought I'd post on here. I'm Travis, a 17-year-old from South Carolina who's studying meteorology at the University of Oklahoma (and therefore doesn't like eitje for his "longhorns" bit a couple of months ago). Add another one to the "xkcd/wetriffs" pile; that was some ingenious marketing. As proof that 23 is the all-mysterious number, take my user ID (269). 269 = 169 + 100 = 13^2 + 10^2. 13 + 10 = 23. That's why zebras are white-and-black, not black-and-white. Now that I'm done being my completely random self, I'm going to bed, as it's 5:30 AM here. Peace! |
user 456 posts 2007-12-06 00:12:07 |
Aw, not an OU guy... Now we're going to have to cover everything with plastic. Fun Fact: I once drove through and stopped in Norman wearing purple not long after K-State beat the until-then undefeated Sooners. :D |
user 111 posts 2007-12-06 14:11:08 |
Aw, not an OU guy... I sincerely apologize for your prejudice against the best university in the US. Guess what... you already bleed crimson! Ha! Did you make it out of Norman in one piece? |
